In this interview with the BBC Audio Business Daily podcast, we cover a lot of ground...including our longstanding concerns with naloxone profiteering, how opioid settlements are missing an opportunity to increase access in high-risk populations by preferring splashy naloxone distribution on school buses, and the importance of naloxone saturation (or making sure the highest-risk people have the highest access, and the lowest cost products).

Until we decouple naloxone from profit motives, we're going to continue to have these problems with pricing and access. The goal for naloxone distribution is to get low-dose, low-cost naloxone into the hands of people at the highest risk. Importantly, this includes injectable naloxone, a product that has not been leveraged enough, especially with opioid settlement money.

We can and must do better.

Take a listen!
